If Ah havetuh hear one more story ‘bout Tumblr from Ellis Ah figgured Ah outtuh know wut th’hell he’s talkin’ about. So here Ah am.

Now, when Ah wus pregnant with Ellis, mah parents kept me home mostuh th’time an’ Ah read uhlot then, too. Ah got this real’ big book uh local history at th’library, an’ ‘bout halfway through Ah wus readin’ ‘bout Ellis Square; s’where they held slave auctions  in th’early 1800s. Mah Dad wus real’ hell-bent awn ‘im bein’ named Daniel, awn accountuh awl th’men awn his side uh th’family’re either named Daniel ‘er they got it fer uh middle name. Ah went ahead an’ let ‘im take it as his middle but there weren’t no way in hell thah sonofuhbitch wus gonnuh take mah son’s firs’ name away from me.
